J.S.S. Academy of Technical Education, Noida

JSS Academy of Technical Education was established in 1998 by the JSS Mahavidyapeetha. It is located in Noida, Uttar Uttar Pradesh. The Institute possesses well-equipped infrastructure. It provides numerous facilities to its students. It includes a library, computer centre, sports complex, laboratories, community centre and recreational facilities. JSSATE has a strength of over 2000 students and more than 250 faculty members. The JSSATE campus provides separate hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. 

There are numerous recruiters visiting the campus for hiring the fresh graduates. It includes IBM, Nokia, PLMCC, Schneider Electric Substation Automation Labs are considered as extra facilities for students to involve in innovative ideas. The college is affiliated with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and UP Technical University. It offers doctoral courses in computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and physics while being under affiliation with UP Technical University. It offers B.Tech, M.Tech and M.B.A. courses under affiliation with AKTU university. It possesses MOUs with Colorado Height University, Denver, USA for the student exchange programme.  

More than 500 companies have visited the campus for placement since its inception. The students from various states of the country, including interior parts of Uttar Pradesh take admissions in the college. On average, more than 100 students qualify for GATE each year.

JSS Academy of Technical Education is located at Sector-62 Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It comes under C-20/1, block-C, phase 2, industrial area. Noida Sector-16 is the nearest metro station to JSSATE. It just takes 7 to 8 minutes to reach JSSATE from Noida Sector-16 metro station. The distance between Noida Sector-16 metro station to JSSATE is 7 km. 

JSS Academy of Technical Education- Latest Updates

• Admission Against Vacant Seats for the year 2020-2021

Candidates who have not been allotted seats in the counselling rounds may take admissions against the vacant seats. They are required to download the application form and send it to college filled with all the required details along with UPSEE 2020 score or JEE Main 2020 score for B.Tech. 

• AMIE Laboratory Experiments Tentative Schedule

Laboratory experiments for AMIE students will be conducted on its tentative schedule. Candidates are required to mark their presence in the laboratories allotted for conducted experiments. 

Candidates are required to report to the college premises on November 23, 2020 for registration with photocopies of AMIE membership cards. 

• Extension of date for depositing academic fee for year 2020-2021

The dates for submission of mark sheets and the academic fee has been extended to December 5, 2020. Candidates are requested to visit the official website of college to know further details.

JSSATE has been awarded the second rank in the state of Uttar Pradesh by the Education World Magazine. JSSATE has also been awarded with the certificate from Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education for promoting innovation and start-up in the campus. 

Accreditation

 The B.Tech. courses with specialisations in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the NBA.

JSSATE Clubs, Committees and Councils

JSS Mahavidyapeetha: JSS Mahavidyapeetha was established in 1928 as an accommodation facility for students. It is the governing organisation who further established the JSS Academy of Technical Education. JSS Mahavidyapeetha was established by Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji in 1954 and it was registered under societies’ act in 1960.  

JSS Pharmacy College: JSS Pharmacy College is a sister institution of the JSS Academy of Technical Education. It offers pharmacy courses to aspiring students who want to establish a career as a pharmacist, chemist, biochemist or drug inspector. 

JSS Academy of Technical Education Infrastructure and Facilities 

JSS Academy of Technical Education has a well-built infrastructure with all the essential facilities for students. JSSATE infrastructure comprises numerous imposing buildings, large lawns, vast playgrounds and supporting facilities. The infrastructure is well planned and designed keeping in mind all the requirements of students. Resource and energy conservation concepts have been implemented well in the planning of the infrastructure. It involves concepts such as rainwater harvesting, green parks and pathways, sewage treatment, development of water bodies, plantations, green parks and pathways and utilisation of solar energy. 

JSSATE facilities include

Library: JSSATE campus includes a centralised library well equipped with study material. It is stocked with numerous books, e-books, journals, e-journals and magazines. 

Computer Centre: JSSATE provides a computer centre to its staff for smooth learning utilising technical innovations to enhance the learning experience and upgrade the knowledge. It also provides access to the ERP system of JSSATE college to students.

Auditorium: JSSATE campus comprises an upgraded auditorium to cater to the need of accommodation for large gatherings for special events. 

Sports Complex: JSSATE provides both indoor as well as outdoor sports complex to its students for overall learning and development. 

Hostel: JSSATE provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls who require accommodation within the college campus. Each hostel room is equipped with beds, wardrobes, study table and chair.

JSSATE Fee

The admission fee is paid through demand draft during the admission registration at college premises. The average fee of B.Tech. programme for the first year is Rs. 137,850. The average fee for M.B.A. programme is Rs. 138,349. 

JSS Academy of Technical Education Admissions

The admission to JSSATE college is provided through Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination. The UPSEE is conducted by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Candidates appearing in UPSEE compete for getting admissions in 800 colleges affiliated to AKTU. On average, 150,000 students appear each year in the UPSEE.

Due to COVID-19, there are fewer students appearing in the entrance examination this year as compared to previous years.

JSSATE B.Tech. Admission Process

Register for appearing in UPSEE for B.Tech.

Appear in the UPSEE and qualify it

Secure the cut-off rank required for admission in the college

Participate in the counselling process

Get the seat allotment and pay the fee to reserve the seat.

Reach college premises on the scheduled date.

Complete the rest admission formalities. 

Pay the rest of the academic fee through demand draft.

Register for appearing in UPSEE for M.Tech.

Register for appearing in the UPSEE for M.B.A. course on AKTU’s website.

Mark your presence in the entrance examination.

Qualify UPSEE and secure the required cut-off rank for JSSATE admission.

Report to college premises on the scheduled date for admission registration.

Complete the rest formalities involved in the admission procedure.

JSSATE Scholarship

Five per cent of the JSSATE are sanctioned to the economically weaker meritorious students to provide them financial aid. Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme is provided to migrant students of UT’s of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The students availing PMSSS are provided with financial aid by waiving off their first-year expenses. There are various other scholarships that students can avail provided by AICTE and UP Government UG/PG Scholarship Scheme. 

JSSATE Cut-off

The admissions to JSS Academy is provided through UPSEE rank cut-off. Candidates who score within the closing rank of JSSATE are provided with admissions. They are required to participate in the counselling process to reserve their seat.

JSSATE Placements

Step I: JSSATE starts training students enrolled in the first year to support them in the development of communication skills for public speaking for both verbal and non-verbal.

Step II: The second and third-year students are provided with training to develop aptitude and technical skills.

JSS Academy of Technical Education Scholarships

JSSATE provides various scholarships to meritorious students in order to offer financial aid to deserving students. 

EWMS: Five per cent seats are sanctioned to economically weaker meritorious students. The college will charge no admission fee to students admitted against this seat. 

PMSSS: Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme is applicable to JSSATE college. It provides financial aid to migrant students of UT’s of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. This financial aid is provided to students admitted to the first year by waiving off their academic fee as per the guidelines. 

Pragati Scholarship: Pragati scholarship is given to meritious girls taking admissions in degree or diploma programmes in AICTE approved institutions. The scholarship is provided to 10,000 girls. Since JSSATE is approved by AICTE, girls enrolled in the college may avail this scholarship by fulfiling the requirements. Financial aid of Rs. 50,000 as incidentals each year. 

Saksham Scholarship: Saksham scholarship is provided to differently-abled students taking admission in AICTE institutions at degree or diploma course. Financial aid of Rs. 50,000 is provided to each year to students who availed this scholarship. 

PG Scholarships: The scholarship is provided to full-time GATE/GMAT qualified students enrolled in M.Tech. programme. Financial aid of Rs. 12,500 is provided per month to each student who has availed this scholarship.
