PMCH Patna is one of the oldest medical schools in the country and is featured among Top Medical Colleges in India. PMC is popularly known for its MBBS program admissions to which are granted on the basis of candidate’s merit in NEET-UG entrance exam. Candidates in order to be eligible for MBBS at PMC must also have passed 10+2 with PCB as compulsory subjects.

Established in 1925 the PMCH Patna Hospital is a premier medical college located in Bihar. Counselling of NEET for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.

  • Candidate Registration: Register to the official website.
  • Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and finally lock-in the preferences in the online portal.
  • Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online on the basis of available vacancies and candidate’s choices.
  • Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round, will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.

Ques. Are any hostel facilities available at PMCH Patna?

Ans. Yes, PMC provides different hostels for boys and girls. Hostel rooms are two-seater. Sometimes students need to divide a room among three. One seater room is available only for 4th year’s students and interns only. Rooms are well equipped and well managed and the food is average. The fee for one month is around INR 1500.

Ques. Is there any stipend given to MBBS interns in PMCH Patna?

Ans. Yes, stipends are provided to MBBS candidates at PMCH. For an Intern in PMCH, a sum of INR 15,000 is paid as stipend. For Externs, there is no provision of any stipend. In fact, there is uniformity in stipend among all medical colleges of Bihar. 

Ques. Is there any management quota in PMCH?

Ans. No, there is no Management quota in PMCH Patna. Admission occurs under state quota, all india quota and central nominee quota. Candidates interested need to appear for the entrance exams first, i.e, NEET UG for MBBS and NEET PG for postgraduate courses. Candidates who qualify the entrance with a valid score must appear for counselling for seat allotment.
